Dear Friends and Business Partners!
Vacation time is almost upon us. We are sure that many of you are making plans to spend your holidays in one of our tourist destinations. In addition to the high quality accommodations in hotels, marinas, private rooms and rural households in the hinterland, whichever type of holiday you choose, you can rest assured that you will find plenty of opportunities for a fun and action-packed holiday. There is something to suit everyone's idea of a memorable vacation – opportunities for relaxation and recreation, opportunities to learn about the culture and traditions of the area you choose to visit, opportunities to experience something new only moments from your sun lounger – all of which confirm that we are on the right track as we continue to pave the road to an excellent tourist future with our new projects. The two projects at the very top of our agenda are the ones that have already been described in the previous Newsletters – the beach management project and the rural tourism project. We take special pleasure in the fact that we can now inform you about our plans to further develop culture tourism in our county. The impressive heritage of the area, which spans thousands of years, is our treasure trove of culture. We have already used it as a base to develop high quality tourism, and we have adapted it to the prevalent demand and tourist requirements. The past successes have provided us with an impetus to embark on new projects, with an invigorated ambition and without any fear of the recession. New and impressive cultural venues have opened their doors this year in Split, the city which features as a candidate for the European capital of culture for 2020. We hereby extend an open invitation to you to come and participate in our attractive programs and varied cultural events. A broad range of different attractive products have been prepared by all our destinations, with something for every generation of holidaymakers. All you have to do is plan your arrival and abandon yourself to the pleasures of new experiences. We are expecting you and bid you a very warm welcome! Yours sincerely! Mili Razović, Ph.D. Director Split and Dalmatia County Tourist Board |
